Mike Fetterman
Ramsey Solutions Financial Coach
I help people who are struggling paycheck to paycheck with their finances, juggling to keep the bills paid, trying to raise a family while wondering how to save and invest for retirement. I also help people who are just looking for another opinion on how to move forward with creating goals, managing money or how to handle a specific financial situation (ie. paying off a mortgage, tackling credit card debt, investing in the markets, or dreaming about retirement etc.). I’ve been there and done that.
I strive to be a calming and reassuring voice in all of the chaos that you may be experiencing.
I especially like working with the military, veterans and their families. I’ve been in boots like yours and I can relate well to situations you may be encountering. I also like working with anybody who is willing to be coached to help themselves.
I work in your best interests in all areas of your personal financial life to help you get out of debt, build wealth and make a plan to live life without financial stress. Wouldn’t that be great? It’s not survival of the fittest, it’s about being smart with your money and securing your financial future. If I don’t immediately know the right answers to solve your challenges, I’ll help you find them.

A Little About Me…My Story
I learned early in life that money doesn’t grow on trees, because that’s what my mother told me. As a single parent, mom raised me and my two younger siblings on her own while working many jobs to keep the bills paid. She taught me the value of working hard and not giving up in the face of adversity and big challenges. She also taught me the difference between a want and a need.
In 2018, I retired from the Defense Department as a supervisor and program manager in the Information Technology field. I served our country for 37 years; 11 years as an Army officer then 26 years as a Department of Defense civilian.
My wife and I (photo above) are able to live and give as we choose to without any debt. She’s run her own business as an artist and teacher for over twenty years. We have one financially savvy daughter in college (photo below). I have a heart of a teacher. I want to see people succeed in life. I enjoy managing my family’s finances, helping others with their finances, family time going on vacations, date nights and taking our dog for walks. I’m active in my Christian faith and I like playing most sports. I enjoy watching the Nationals and Redskins, especially when they win. I live in Leesburg, VA just west of Washington, DC.
I’d be honored to work with you. How can I help?
